Psychedelic hard-rock with furious drumming and stunning lead guitar by this unknown until now London based band. This, the first ever reissue, includes the four tracks from the original acetate (taken from the master tape) plus two bonus tracks taken from lo-fi, crude rehearsals: “1000 Miles” (A Grit original) and a killer demo version of “Mineshaft”. Born from the ashes of a London band called Merlyn, Grit consisted of Frank Martinez (lead guitar, vocals), Paul Christodoulou (bass/vocals), Tom Kelly (drums, vocals) and Jeff Ball (vocalist). On Christmas Eve, 1972, Grit recorded a demo at SWM Studios and two copies of a one-sided 12” acetate were pressed for promo purposes. It featured four self penned songs: the killer “Mineshaft” (pure underground fuzz hard-rock) and two lengthy numbers: “Child and The Drifter” (with some furious drumming,
Forty years later, one of the two copies of the original Grit acetate was found at a flea market in Germany, which led to its inclusion in the 7001 Record Collector Dreams book by famous collector Hans Pokora. The band still remained a mystery until 2019, when, by pure chance, Alex Carretero from Guerssen found Frank Martinez and he opened his vault, which included the original master tape of the Grit acetate and several tapes with rehearsals from Grit and Merlyn. So, we’re proud to present the first ever vinyl release of one the rarest artifacts from the UK 60s-70s underground scene, including an insert with rare photos / memorabilia and detailed liner notes.

Hello, it’s Skye! I’m back with another very important product update. If you are a dog who loves a challenge and loves real bacon, you need to tell your humans to get you the Benebone Ring Durable Dog Chew Toy.
Why this ring is my absolute favorite:
The Ultimate Treat Bowl: My absolute favorite part about this ring is the hollow center. My humans stuff it full of yummy treats, freeze-dried raw bites, or a little dog-safe peanut butter, and it turns into the best puzzle bowl ever! I will happily spend hours licking and working to get every single crumb out.
Tastes Like Real Bacon: Even after I clean out all the stuffed treats, the toy itself is infused with real, delicious bacon flavor. It doesn't smell like fake chemicals; it smells like the real deal, which makes my nose very happy.
Super Durable for Heavy Chewing: I have sharp puppy teeth and I love to chomp, but this durable nylon ring is tough. The curved design makes it really easy for me to flip up with my paws and hold securely while I chew away.

This chew toy is great for aggressive chewers—it’s very durable and holds up much longer than most other toys we’ve tried. The ring shape makes it easy for dogs to grip and carry, and my dog was immediately interested in it, likely because of the real bacon flavor. It’s also a nice bonus that it’s made in the USA and doesn’t have a strong smell for humans.
That said, it is very hard, so I’d recommend keeping an eye on your dog while they’re using it, especially if they’re an intense chewer. Over time, it does wear down and needs to be replaced once the edges get rough.
Overall: a long-lasting, high-quality chew that keeps dogs occupied—just be mindful of the hardness and monitor for wear.

Long lasting chew toy!

All I can say is wow! I have a Basset Hound mix who will be in the puppy stage for another year, and as we all know, that means dealing with teething issues. Seeing the photo of this product when it was new makes it obvious what he’s done to it. He’s still at it, chewing like mad. Made for medium to large dogs, he happily totes it around everywhere, and I’m always picking it up so I don’t trip over it.
The inner cup can hold peanut butter as a special treat for your pet, and I give him some when he’s feeling a bit bored. It doesn’t last long, but he’ll keep chewing on it for a while afterward. For me, the value is worth the price if it keeps his teeth off my furniture—pet owners know exactly what I mean.
