Frantic punk-scenes of information overload are contrasted by patient drones of introspection; fun, ear-worm musings of life as a young rock band are juxtaposed with the heavier responsibility of having a voice and not quite knowing what to say. Beautiful Retelling of the Christmas Story
Format: Hardcover
I've really appreciated reading from The First Nations Version over the last couple of years, and I'm excited for this book to make it easier to share with a younger audience! One of the things I appreciate about the FNV is how well it flows as a story, and this picture book is no different. It transitions smoothly from the Luke portion to Matthew. The illustrations are lovely watercolors and give me new imagination for Jesus coming for all people. I already bought copies for my nephews, and I'm looking forward to giving them to them for the Christmas season.
