In a hundred images, the American Slim Aarons makes us live the Dolce Vita on the French Riviera. The photographer takes us into the mythical world of the jet set and movie stars. A dive into the splendour and joie de vivre of the 1950s to 1970s, around an infinity pool on the cliffs of Cap Ferrat or on a majestic yacht at the port of Saint-Tropez. Legendary images that make us feel the summer and carefree of a glorious era of the Côte d'Azur.

In this latest addition to the Louis Vuitton Fashion Eye collection, the archives of cult American photographer Slim Aarons (1916 - 2006) reveal a joyous, sun-drenched French Riviera. Aarons, who boasted that he only photographed attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places, was naturally drawn to this idyllic corner of France. His images of iconic places, including Cannes, Saint Tropez and Monaco, offer an enticing glimpse into a Riviera of another time. Nicknamed “Slim” because he was tall and lanky, American photographer George Allen Aarons is famous for his carefree images of celebrities, aristocrats, Hollywood stars and captains of industry. A pleasure‑seeker and a gentleman, at a certain point he decided he wanted to enjoy the good life - probably owing to the fact that, as a young photographer, he had enlisted in the US Army and documented the horrors of World War II. In his work, between swimming pools and luxury villas, fashion became an art of living. Inspired by the House's travel heritage, the Louis Vuitton Fashion Eye collection evokes cities, regions or countries through the eyes of fashion photographers, from emerging talents to industry legends. Each title in the series features an extensive selection of large-format photographs, together with biographical information and an interview with the photographer or a critical essay. After Louis Vuitton City Guides and Travel Books, this third collection presents travel photography with a fashion perspective, as the chosen photographers all infuse their images of great cities, faraway places or dream destinations with their unique vision.

Every elementary teacher needs this book!!!
Every teacher needs this book. It's not just for young grades who are learning to count, but for older grades who are learning about organisms, habitats, and the animal kingdom!! It is so chalk full of information! The opportunities to use it in the classroom abound! The illustrations are amazing! The song is wonderful, and easy for children to learn, not to mention that it is a melody that many children already know. The best buy!

The rhyming verse and 1-10 counting are perfect for the age I teach
Over in the Arctic by Marianne Berkes is a delightful addition to my collection of polar books. The rhyming verse and 1-10 counting are perfect for the age I teach. The soft illustrations by Jill Dubin are inviting and soothing.
