This album represents a milestone for one of the greatest composers and arrangers of Italian jazz, Oscar del Barba, a longtime reference for Velut Luna. The extraordinary voice of Rosella Caporale, who also wrote several original lyrics, is at the service of Oscar's art. For this album, he has created eight new arrangements of great American classics (Making Whopee, Speak Low, Someday My Prince Will Come, etc.) and five brand-new pieces of his own compositions, all conceived for a full symphony orchestra and featuring contributions from some of the greatest jazz soloists: Antonio Zambrini on piano, Robert Bonisolo and Massimo Salvagnini on saxophone, Fausto Beccalossi on accordion, and Caterina Bergo on harp.
