The story of how my brother Pete was declared dead, from starvation in a hospital is told. Foppe goes underground and Mom loses track of him. Later she has a vision of where he is, dying and calling her name. She finds him, still alive but barely, just as the vision showed her. He dies a few days later. The story of how she literally wore her feet to the bone walking barefoot, 30 or so miles on gravel is told.
