Rumble Records present a reissue of Elmore James's Blues After Hours, originally released in 1960. Compiling singles originally released on the Flair label (a subsidiary of the legendary Modern label, known for making a star out of B.B. King, among others), this 1960 LP was released only two years before the death of electric blues man Elmore James. One of the most important and influential slide guitarists and vocalists of the early electric blues era, James was born and raised in Richland, Mississippi before, like so many other blues legends, ending up in Chicago, performing in the legendary juke joints of the south side. A truly electric performance from one of the finest blues men of the era.

A multifaceted biographical sketch
Format: Hardcover
A complicated personality who felt strongly no one was above the law; having been in Nuremberg in 2025 gave me a different perspective of the man as the prosecutor at the Nuremberg trials. He was meticulous and highly regarded in his career. Excellent read

An admiring but not uncritical portrait of a titan in the rule of law
Format: Hardcover
Professor White delivers an admiring but not uncritical portrait of a man who stood for qualities and principles now in short supply. Jackson was a leading practitioner when other judges were more political, but nevertheless had to speak the language of the rule of law. And his contributions at Nuremberg, haphazardly portrayed in the recent movie, really come through . The United States would help establish a record of epic misdeeds and show that the perpetrators could be punished in a system of justice.
