Care

General Maintenance: The Hoya Pubicalyx is a vigorous-growing, vine plant, with leaves that will spread over the side of the pot. These plants actually prefer to be a bit root bound, so repotting is not required often. Good drainage is a must, so a terra cotta pot with holes would be a good choice. It would also appreciate some vertical support, as it can grow upwards too.

Temperature: It does best in 15 to 25 degrees Celsius. Be sure not to expose it to less then 10 degrees Celsius and watch out for those cold drafts in the winter.

Light: This plant enjoys medium to bright, but indirect, sunlight. It loves locations near windows, but not directly in them, as the leaves will scorch. It does best with 6 hours of sunlight per day.

Watering: While the Hoya Pubicalyx is a drought-tolerant houseplant, you still need to water it regularly during growing season. Water only when the top 2 inches of soil are dry, being very careful to not over water! Ensure it drains well. Rainwater or filtered water is recommended

Soil: This plant prefers a light, airy, and well drained soil mixture. Rich soils that are full of organic content & nutrients really help Hoyas take off.

Fertilizer: A fertilizer high in potassium would be lovely, for the Hoya, such as a liquid fertilizer. It will only need a little during the spring & summer, just to encourage flowers. Avoid fertilizing in the winter!

This book will crush infertile couples
Format: Paperback
I don't know how this book has a 5-star review rating. It's poorly researched and lacks any depth on the very subject it's supposed to be dealing with. The first section on Birth-Control just goes on and on about how Children are a Blessing and a Reward from God. And it says in one of the footnotes that the only reason couples shouldn't have kids is if the wife has a medical condition that would make pregnancy life-threatening or they are too old when they got married. Infertility isn't even mentioned. In the section on Infertility, there is NO research on how common it is, what causes it, etc. It's just Infertility is hard on women, and men will never quite understand why. And then on ARTs, they are treated as a guarantee that a couple will have kids if they do the treatment. The one and only stat he cites in this section is on IVF and he clearly read the information wrong. He didn't look to see what the difference is between cycles and transfers and said that IVF has over a 50% success rate in women under 34. That number is way too high and will only cause false hope, and misunderstandings about childless couples. And some of his research was from 2007, making it out of date in this cutting-edge technology.
