About the Flag
"The Flag of Colombia consists of three yellow, blue and red stripes. The horizontal yellow color covers the upper half of the flag. The lower half of the flag is composed of two equal stripes and the colors are red and blue. Since there is no official explanation for the meaning of the colors of the Colombian flag, there are many explanations about colors.
One of the meanings of the Flag of Colombia, the yellow color represents sovereignty and equality, the blue represents nobility, loyalty and alertness, the redness shown for red independence, dignity, generosity, and the lost people in this cause. One of the other meanings, yellow represents the rich underground mineral resources there, the blue color represents the ocean, the red represents the blood spilled in the struggle for independence."
