Structured and poised with layers of blackcurrant, tobacco, anise and subtle cedar. On the palate, it shows fine tannins with bright dark fruit, and a long, savoury finish.

The Margaret River region’s flagship red variety puts in a stellar performance here. An opaque maroon hue, the nose offers notes of aniseed, soy, graphite, tobacco leaves, chocolate and blackberries. It is a powerful wine, but well balanced and has focus. A supple texture supports a sweet core of black cherries on the palate. There are silky tannins on a lingering finish. Fabulous value and the potential to improve even further, this will provide pleasure for the next six to twelve years.
