Care
General Maintenance: Although olive trees can reach up to 10 feet in containers, you will probably want to opt for the dwarf variety. You can keep them shorter by pruning them.Temperature: If your home is between 12 to 25 degrees Celsius, your olive tree will be content.
Light: These plants will need full sun, at least 6 hours a day. A sunny south facing window is ideal.
Watering: Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. They prefer a more dry climate, so don't worry about dry air. No misting required.
Soil: Olive trees like a soil that drains easily, so a cactus mix will work well. Placing a inch or two of gravel, Styrofoam, or other filler on the bottom will help keep this plant happier. Pots must have good drainage holes. Plant in a larger container so that you have to repot it less.
Fertilizer: Your tree will benefit from balanced N-P-K fertilizer. It needs a good source of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium to be healthy.
