Including samplings from Anthropolitical Motivations, The Deluged Gods, and Listen to These Stones Stanislav Szukalski (1893-1987) was a Polish-born sculptor, writer, graphic artist, and heretic. Highly regarded in both the US and Poland between the World Wars, he lapsed into obscurity, living and working in "America's Cultural Siberia" (Southern California) until comic art collector Glenn Bray rediscovered him in 1973. For forty years, Szukalski had developed his all-encompassing science "Zermatism" about the origin of Man, laid down in 39 heavily illustrated volumes with subjects such as "Universal Pictography," "The Flood Scumline," and "Anthropolitical Motivations." The work sets out to prove, among much else, that "Man-apes" make bad politicians, and that all Humanity stemmed from Easter Island, sharing a common protolanguage, "Protong" (bearing a striking resemblance to present-day Polish). Behold The Protong, first published by Bray in 1980, was the first book in 50 years to bring Szukalski's work to the light of the American public. It is a modest selection from the thousands of drawings in the Zermatism oeuvre. The Work of Szukalski (Covici-McGee, 1923) and Projects in Design (University of Chicago Press, 1929) showed the young Szukalski's strength as artist-sculptor. Mounting system doesn’t align on one of three shelves.

Nice shelves. Install was super easy except on one of the three shelves. The main mounting shelf holes were off so the shelf will not slip onto horizontal mounting poles unless I modify the shelf. So a 20 minute job becomes a two hour job.
The mounting system does appear very sturdy just not aligned.

Hassle but they work great. I love the color, the thickness and quality. They do have some weight but in my opinion, I prefer that. Right now the four shelves are holding up my WiFi routers and remotes. Will buy again

These shelves are gorgeous in person. Yes, they're darker than the listing pics, but I actually prefer it. The grain is beautiful, they came well-packed, and mounting them was no trouble at all. Now I've got display space that feels both stylish and practical. Definitely worth it!

Easy to install, very tough!

Seriously, scoring these shelf stands for $30 feels like an absolute steal! Four chunky wood boards with metal T-brackets that actually feel substantial - way sturdier than those flimsy IKEA ones I used to have. My old cheapo stands warped after half a year, but these hold up like a champ - I've got like 15 heavy textbooks stacked on them right now.
Love the little details too: rounded edges so you won't scrape your hands, and rubber grip strips on the bottom. They look legit fancy in my living room as bookshelves and even class up my kitchen herb garden. My friend thought they were some high-end designer furniture! Honestly, the craftsmanship at this price puts my old $60 wooden shelves to shame. Already told my DIY group chat about these - trust me, you can't go wrong!
