One day, a young girl named Tina imagines herself as a fairy soaring through the universe, exploring the wonders of outer space and finding an Earthlike planet. She meets new friends, Spin the Dragon, Aristotle, Fair, and Spar, and together they set out to form a never-ending bond as they venture across this new planet.

Dragon Spin: The Fateful Friendship is an imaginative adventure for young children, blending science and fantasy into one. While they go through an adventurous day with the characters of Dragon Spin, their minds will drift to the stars, nature, magical creatures and friends. Some children will learn new words or new concepts while they read the story, and others will need to question and learn on their own.

An Essential
Format: Paperback
I've created PowerPoints for executives in major corporations and national non-profits for years now, and this is one of the first books I suggest anyone who needs to create their own PowerPoint look to. Beyond Bullet points is accessable enough that the novice PowerPoint user can understand what's going on and use the lessons in his or her next presentation; it's also detailed and challenging enough that even an old salt like me can find things to learn and do. Don't be another person who stands on stage reading their PowerPoint, and don't let reading your slides distract the audience from your presentation; follow the suggestions in this book and wow your audience.

Bad book for SOA exam, but oh well.
Format: Paperback
While required by Society of Actuaries as the textbook for Short Term Actuarial Models exam, I could not recommend this textbook for any other purposes. Written by two Canadian actuaries, a lot of terms and explanations used in this textbook cannot be transferred into US P&C insurance. It fails to explains insurance's purpose and products effectively and as an intro book with unnecessary sentences to deliver personal thoughts. It is also a mess in following sections on ratemaking and reserving. I cannot sense a flow from this book that guides readers in an approachable manner. Overall, author compromises the size AND the quality.
