Within the genetic makeup of Darker Than Wax, jazz is the key. After nearly eight years of existence as a label, Darker Than Wax present a record that truly contributes to the pantheon of jazz music. Welcome to Nomad's Land - a sprawling, dreamy, brutally honest album from British pianist and producer Dominic J Marshall. A veteran of the live the circuit (notably touring with Cinematic Orchestra) and already an accomplished recording artist, Dominic is both virtuosic and classically-trained, yet completely free of any musical or sonic constraints. His sound is infused with electronica and cosmic soul at every turn - deep, dubby, and drawing on diverse inspirations. Nomad's Land is essentially an honest reflection of the artist's life experiences - inspired by people, relationships, psychedelic experiences, and human existence. The album also represents Dominic's first outing as a vocalist, bouncing between soulful singing, spoken word, and freestyle rap. This vocal element is crucial to the album's impact, adding a layer of heart and truth to these deeply personal compositions. Deep diversity can be found throughout the record, from the sino-grime inflected "Time Unremembered", to the lush piano-trio vibes on "Feeling", to the glitchy breakbeat jazz hybridity of "DMT". Yet, despite these seemingly disparate shades, Nomad's Land is a singular statement and front-to-back listening experience, unified by beautiful production and grounded in raw musicality.

Worth it! Solid dermaplaner.
Color: Matte Blue
It feels solid in my hand.
The blade doesn't seem to be all too sharp, but it works... so maybe that's for safety purposes?
I like it and will stick with it for a while.

Hair removal improvements, ooooh! Ahhhhh!
Color: Matte Gold
We were vexed and a little annoyed by that one chin hair removal after a waxing treatment. Lo and behold! Zomchi invented a razor for treatments in between salon wax strips. Painless and easy to reapply hygenically. 🤗

Handy. I've never put a razor to my face, but I used this and loved the outcome.

Starting a StartUp is a must-read for anyone who wants to build something that matters
Format: Paperback
I rarely come across a book that so perfectly balances the technical and the personal in building a startup. Starting a StartUp: How to Build Something People Want does just that. It is less of a textbook and more of a companion for founders who want to build with heart and wisdom.
What I loved most:
Actionable, no-fluff advice. Instead of lofty theories, the book dives right into what really matters: validating ideas, talking to users, iterating fast, and scaling smart. The checklists, templates, and real-world examples make it easy to move from reading to doing.
Psychology + empathy. It does not treat an entrepreneur like a machine. The author emphasizes dealing with uncertainty, failure, and the emotional rollercoaster of starting something new. That human touch elevates it from “startup guide” to “founder guide.”
Accessible to novices and veterans alike. Whether you are building your first side project or scaling your third company, there is value here: reminders about customer obsession, principles for experimentation, and stories that resonate at any stage.
Readable and engaging. The prose is clear, the chapters are well-paced, and every chapter ends with key takeaways that help cement the learning.
Starting a StartUp is a must-read for anyone who wants to build something that matters, not just for profits but for people. I am recommending it to friends, colleagues, and especially the next generation of makers I mentor. Highly, highly recommended.
