Digitally remastered reissue. Barry Thomas Goldberg was 23 in 1974, the year his Minneapolis power pop group, The Batch, split up. Rudderless, he set about recording solo album Misty Flats, and though few would hear it in it's day, he hit on something very special indeed. Where The Batch were a harmony-drenched power pop band in the mold of Big Star and The Rubinoos, Misty Flats was an album of ecstatic desolation, an unhinged loner-folk gem that came from a unique place: "I wanted to make the first punk rock album, and if I'd recorded those songs with a band, maybe that's what it would've been," Goldberg says. The album was, instead, recorded in mono in a two-day recording binge on a two-track Ampex tape machine. It features just Goldberg and his friend Michael Yonkers, author of the cult 1968 LP Microminiature Love, playing guitar, bass, harmonica, and vocals between them. Back in '74, Yonkers had crushed several vertebrae at work and used his payoff to fund five albums: four of his own and Goldberg's Misty Flats, which was pressed in a run of just 500. "We were into art, not commerce," notes Goldberg now, but at the time he was frustrated his album was allowed to drift off into obscurity. Goldberg forged ahead to record a 24-track rock album called Winter Summer which languishes in the vault to this day; Misty Flats, however, is finally widely available.

They work really well!

These makeup removers work great for taking off my makeup. I always wash my face after with a professional skin care line with microfiber cloths, so if you are looking for something to do all the things, maybe they aren't for you, but I need something to remove makeup, and they do the best job!

Best make up removing wipes.

These are the only makeup removing wipes I can use. They don’t burn my eyes and they remove the makeup very well. I do recommend staring them upside down so that the pads that are at the other end stay moist and are able to remove the make up without any issue. Highly recommend. Durable and don’t tear. Great product. Great price point. I have them on a subscribe and save.

Disappointed with these cleansing cloths!

The cloths are nice and soft, however it’s very difficult to pull out just 1 sheet, I usually end up pulling several sheets and they cannot be put back in the container. This is just a waste of money and I will never buy them again!

Less issues

I double cleanse. I find that mineral oil based makeup removers are hard to wash off. Oil based ones are nourishing and easier to remove but are all very dissimilar. I find formulations with active ingredient CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC GLYCERIDES high on the list are the best for my skin type. Combination/Oily(summer). RetinA/Retinoid , glycolic, Vitamin c user. These formulations emulsify everything. No scrubbing or excessive rubbing. No funny skin irritants or slimy film left on skin.

Black Opal Even True Skin Perfecting Cream Cleanser [Good for dry skin or winter time]Discontinued
Clarins Cleansing Milk with Gentian (Combination or Oily Skin)[A opaque 'milk' texture for Truly oily skin not drying but not hydrating]#2 Summers mostly. Pricey but worth it. Emulsifies everything and rinses well.

Now Solutions Soothing rose facial cleansing oil[ Good for all skin types consistency is 'thin'ish'] #3 I like the texture its an oil but doesn't feel 'congested' greasy to me.
Sheamoisture Even Radiant raw honey 3n1 cleansing balm[Room temperature butter texture for dry and or dehydrated skin. Possibly good for skin needing nourishment(shea and honey). IMO this is a 'wipe off cleanser. Say with a 'wonder cloth' or some such. Not a daily use but has its place for sure. May work as a hydrating face mask. Think Estee Lauder Triple cream(discontinued). Nice size and affordable.
Cerave Makeup removing cleanser Balm[ A 'waxy' looking balm that seems whipped. All skin types]. Does what it says. IMO a wipe off cleanser even thought directions say rinse. I rinse then wipe then cleanse. Sometimes i just go directly to cleansing. Note no CAPRYLIC/CAPRICTRICERIDE or its derivatives in the ingredient list. This one took time for me to remove but its not greasy. Has other solvents, emollients and emulsifiers. Definitely a gentle skin conditioner. A good product.
