RA 8283 G.W.R. CAST IRON CABSIDE EX 2-8-0 NO 5263.A cast iron cab side plate from ex G. W. R. 52XX class no 5263, this locomotive was built at Swindon works and entered service March 1926. The first shed it was allocated to was Llanelli the Banbury, Severn Tunnel Junction and last of all Barry. Withdrawn 29th May 1963 and scrapped March 1964, this plate was restored by us some years ago and is still in great condition.
