Charles Criner was born in 1945 and raised in Athens, a small town in East Texas. He attended Texas Southern University in Houston between 1964 and 1968, studying under the guidance of the renowned late artist, Dr. John T. Biggers. Criner is noted for his cartoons including the "Johnny Jones" series created while in the Army and later adapted for The Houston Post, "The Job Crowd", "The Dogs" and a few others. He also collaborated with his longtime friend, newspaper columnist and sportswriter William Henry Hygh on the "Johnny Jones" cartoon carried in The Houston Post with Hygh providing the narrative for Criner's art. Criner's art, ads, and cartoons have been featured in Ebony Magazine, Houston Business Journal, the Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and in advertising for the Houston Oilers.

Since 1997, Criner has been the Artist-in-Residence at the Museum of Printing History in Houston, where he operates a studio, further

Criner's artwork is included in numerous prestigious private collections throughout the United States, and has been exhibited at or is in the permanent collections of several museums. Additionally, several of Criner's student works completed during his time at Texas Southern University are published in the 1978 book Black Art in Houston by John Biggers, Carroll Simms, and John Edward Weems published by Texas A&M University Press.

"The Children and George" is Mr. Criner's first children's book. It is the first of a planned series.

Great Socks.
Color: (002) Black / Black / Halo Gray, Size: Large
These are awesome and have become my favorite socks to have for everyday wear. I have since bought the hightop version as well and there are just as equally great. They fit almost like compression socks. Color does fade a bit after repeated washing but not enough to make a big difference in appearance. They have lasted for a long time and still going. They have lots of cushion which makes it very comfortable to wear.

Great Socks
Color: (001) Black / Black / Castlerock, Size: Large
I keep ordering these over and over again. They fit well, and are soft and comfortable. My feet don't sweat like crazy while wearing them. The cupped heel makes them fit even better. They hold up to everything from everyday use to active lifestyles.

Good sock but thick
Color: (001) Black / Black / Castlerock, Size: Small
These Under Armour socks are high quality and definitely durable, with great cushioning and a solid fit that stays in place throughout the day. The material feels supportive and they hold up well after multiple washes without losing shape. My only minor downside is that they’re thicker than I expected. They feel more like a heavy-duty training sock, which is great for colder weather or intense workouts, but a bit bulky for everyday sneakers or warmer days. That said, the quality is excellent, and if you prefer a thicker, more cushioned sock, these are perfect. Just something to be aware of depending on how you plan to use them.
