Recorded in a basement in Welland, ON, by Daniel Romano with musicians Ross Miller, Ian Romano, and Tamara Lindeman (of The Weather Station) joining songwriter Ian Kehoe, Corner of the Eye is a dreamy, unforced exploration of a musical world of its own invention. These old friends and collaborators replace the drum fills, cymbals, and electric guitars that serve as foundation in so much tired rock and roll with three part harmony, drum machines, and acrobatic bass to create an idiosyncratic sound that evokes both Lee Perry and Jeff Lynne era Tom Petty. Kehoe's lyrics, at first glance dreamy, reveal themselves on repeat listens to contain surprising complexity. The internal is the literal on this record; love is a force, a thing that 'goes by, confident in it's crazy pride'. Emotion creates reality. "It's the corner of the eye that can see the human lines' sings Kehoe, and the line is fitting. This is a record, and a songwriter, that exists on the margins, looking out, with joyful and complex melodies and an unexpected focus on groove and rhythm.

LIP GOO GOOD ENOUGH FOR EDS PATIENTS!!! I have old school type3, the super bad…
First of all… I used to have a desserts catering side hustle and my oatmeal scotchie recipe starts smelling EXACTLY like this combo!!! I am 51 and have tried LITERALLY THOUSANDS of chapstick type lip goos, I have a genetic disorder that prevents me from being able to absorb anything… most to all chapsticks DO NOT WORK but my lips are currently soft… it actually feels amazing to have something on my lips that seems to work!!! Instead on sitting on my lips or skin all weird and greasy til I freak out rub everything off!!! It’s working… NOT SOMETHING I WAS ACTUALLY WILLING TO ADMIT TO…
My VEGAN MOTHER talked me into trying this, she’s more absorbent and can use other products, I cannot, however!!! I seriously LOVE THIS GOO!!!

you won’t regret it
absolute life saver on a winter trip to austria, and has become my go-to every day since! even before my trip i was struggling with chapped lips and this healed them and protected them through winter sports better than anything i’ve ever used, and i’m a lip balm snob. smells amazing, feels amazing. 10/10!

Wow! So moisturizing!
OMGosh, this feels so good on your lips! I just got this today so I’ll have to update if the moisture doesn’t last. But so far it feels nice.
I did have a slight issue with it melting onto itself in the one day it took to get to me. See photos. The tube itself was slightly concave because of the melting. But is still intact.
So far though I love this stuff!

Pretty good stuff
Not a miracle cream, but I've certainly paid more for worse lip balm. The tallow is helping keep my lips hydrated, and it feels great when applied. Just got Invisalign, and I struggle with hydration normally, but this is helping keep the lips soft and smooth, and is miles ahead of the cheap drugstore brands that dry more than they help.

Worth a try, I guess.
Picked up this beef tallow lip balm for my husband. We had the worst winter and everything was so dry. He is used to using the waxy sticks you buy at the big box stores to treat his dry lips. He has been using tallow and I noticed this lip balm and thought he might like it.
The stick is quite big. Thicker than the normal waxy stick you might buy at the store. In line with some of the larger sticks I have seen in the stores by some of the men's lines that are out there. He used it often and found it to work well. Did it work better than some of the waxy sticks from the store, he didn't think so but it was on par with those. He does like that it is natural. He told me that he would apply it and his lips would feel good and it would last for a while and just like any other product he would try, his lips would be dry again after a while.
I would say that generally, it sounds like an average product but it's natural. Worth a try, I guess!
