A mysterious letter shows up from an old college boyfriend throwing Meryl’s life into turmoil. When a local rabbi warns her that her ex, David, has been brainwashed into a cult, Meryl is pulled into the mystical world of religious Judaism in a way that her stubbornly atheist self would never have expected. Once a free-spirited Grinnell College grad living a hippie life in Berkeley, California, she now finds herself in Israel on a rescue mission to bring him home. To accomplish her mission, Meryl must come face to face with her heritage and her own beliefs about God and the universe while struggling with the powerful pulling of her heartstrings and her hope of building a life together with the man who she has always believed to be her soulmate. \n \nWinner of the GOLD award from the Nonfiction Book Awards! \n \n"Reading Miriam Racquel Feldman’s memoir God Said What?! feels like sitting down across from the author to listen to her candidly speak her mind in a way others wish they could, and leaning in to hear her whisper innermost thoughts and personal reflections she’s not quite sure should be said aloud in mixed company. \n \nReaders–regardless of their religious, cultural, or familial background–will find her raw honesty refreshing and relatable, not to mention educational (the Glossary of Terms and the Resources section at the back of the book are incredible), as the author shares her recollection of conversations, interactions, and traditions that give insight into aspects of the Jewish faith that may be unfamiliar to many. \n \nA journey like the one Feldman writes about in her book is understandably emotional. Feelings are splashed across every page, and the author’s writing style pulls readers into those moments easily. God Said What?! will inspire many in ways they don’t even expect by the time they turn the final page. A truly special book!"  Nonfiction Authors Association Book Awards Program “I distract easily—and I could not put this book down. The author's words spoke to me as if she was sitting across the table, leaned over with a cup of tea, sharing every detail. I was with her every step of her journey, following her open heart and curious nature through defiance and resistance, to becoming a woman of unshakable faith and contribution." Gail Tremblay, Martha Beck certified life coach “Miriam writes in a voice that resonates with so many of us, from a place that feels both refreshing and skeptical, with a heart that pounds with life. Rabbi Tzvi Freeman, senior editor at Chabad.org, and author of several books, including Bringing Heaven Down to Earth “This book was amazing! I could not put it down; it kept me riveted. I think many diverse people will benefit from and enjoy this book. I feel there is something in this book for everyone to gain from. The captivating storyline, the great amount of Jewish knowledge included, and the easy style that it is written in make it an excellent read.” Mrs. Chaya Moryosef, Program Director, Florida “‘God Said What?!’ is a memoir of a woman on a journey, physical and spiritual, crossing continents seeking an awakening that she is not aware of. I found myself nodding, wondering where the next chapter was going to take ‘us,’ for the journey is one we all take. I was pulled forward, as Miriam learned that there is a spiritual, hidden side to us all. The writing is engaging, compelling. I responded with tears and laughter, as Miriam set out to “save” her boyfriend, finding herself instead. This book is about discovering what the purpose of our existence is. Everyone who reads this will connect on some level to this tale of miracles and hope that occur in everyday life, in this mundane world. Deborah S. Feels good, smells not so good.
Scent: Lavender, Size: 3.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
My favorite lavender hand cream doubled in price, so I looked for an alternative and settled on this one. JR Watkins is a well-established name with a reputation for quality. The cream is nice, but I'm not fond of the scent. There are many different kinds of lavender, and this one is not my favorite.

True Lavender Scent

Good quality cream. Nice fragrance - true lavender scent. Non-greasy. I like the flip top cap - easy to use and handy in the car.

Absolutely love this hand cream!
Scent: Lemon Cream, Size: 3.3 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I have really dry skin, partly because I take a chemo med for autoimmune issues that really dehydrated me no matter how much water I drink. Other lotions I bought were either too greasy and just sat on the surface of my skin OR simply weren’t hydrating enough. But this hand cream is my absolute favorite now. It is super moisturizing, but is also fully absorbed by my skin very quickly. It’s honestly impressive. There was a nearly immediate, extremely noticeable difference in the condition of my skin after I started using this. This lotion even seemed to solve a related issue I was having where my dead skin cells just refused to be shed, no matter how much I scrubbed in the shower or how much of my normal body lotion I applied. Sorry if it’s TMI, but literally minutes after applying this for the first time on my arms, I was able to basically just wipe off that dead layer of my skin, revealing much softer and more supple skin underneath. This is an issue that has been plaguing me for over a year that was seemingly solved in one day. Additionally, I find that the scent is very pleasant. It weirdly reminds me of Froot Loops at first, but in the best way possible. It’s just got that nice citrus-forward, sweet fragrance, and as it dries down the scent gets mellower and more creamy as the lemon settles into the background. It’s definitely got a gourmand scent imo, but it’s not cloyingly sweet or artificial. It just genuinely smells like madeleines with lemon curd or something. I think the Shea butter is largely responsible for the creamy, vanilla-like scent that develops after a couple minutes. It’s very nice, I find myself smelling my hands for like an hour after I apply it because it’s just so delicious! It doesn’t have a strong throw at all once absorbed, the scent fades to only be detectable if someone is inches from your skin, so it hopefully shouldn’t annoy people around you unless they are severely intolerant to fragrance.

I would not recommend
Scent: Coconut, Size: 3.3 Ounce (Pack of 3)
First problem…the product description says “scent coconut” which is a false description. I would describe the scent as “medicinal” and of course reminds me of being in a hospital. Second problem…a reviewer called this item non greasy. This product is very greasy/oily and is slow to absorb. The good thing about this item is that its effective for dry skin. Having tried a couple dozen hand creams, my top 3 in ascending order are… 3. Okeffees working hands. Unscented . If you’re working outside, landscaping, etc, this is excellent. 2. Ahava. Strong masculine scent (musky). Works great. Not greasy or oily. Fast drying. The only negatives are: it’s not always in stock, it’s expensive. 1. Jack Black hand healer. Slight scent from eucalyptus (smells similar to menthol). Works great. Not greasy. Fast drying. It’s expensive however significantly less expensive than Ahava. It’s also much easier to find in stock.
