Designed for high-density data centers and mission-critical server rooms, the HPE 36U 600mm x 1075mm G2 Kitted Advanced Shock Rack with Side Panels and Baying delivers a robust mounting platform engineered to protect and organize valuable IT gear. This 36U unit combines heavy-duty steel construction, vibration-damping technology, and modular baying options with convenient side panels, creating a scalable solution that adapts to evolving infrastructure. The G2 kit includes side panels and baying accessories for flexible configurations, enabling you to consolidate equipment while maintaining excellent airflow, accessible cable management, and secure access to devices, once bolted into place. With the G2 generation, engineers have refined the shock-absorption system and mounting rails to reduce hardware wear and improve serviceability over the rack’s life. Whether you’re outfitting a brand-new data center or upgrading an existing room, this rack delivers the reliability, flexibility, and professional appearance that IT managers demand.

  • Rugged construction and vibration control: The rack is built from heavy-duty cold-rolled steel with a durable powder-coated finish that resists corrosion and cosmetic wear. A purpose-built shock-absorbing mounting system minimizes vibration and micro-motions that can affect sensitive equipment, especially during power cycling, cooling cycles, or seismic events. The result is less wear on mounting rails, more stable equipment alignment, and improved reliability for critical servers, storage, and network devices.
  • 36U capacity and 600 mm depth: This chassis is designed to host a wide range of blade servers, 1U–4U nodes, storage enclosures, and dense networking gear while preserving front-to-back airflow. The 600 mm depth ensures compatibility with common 19-inch equipment and allows for robust cable runs behind the front panels without crowding, reducing heat buildup and simplifying maintenance.
  • Side panels and baying for flexible configurations: The included side panels reduce dust intrusion and help maintain a uniform appearance across a multi-rack baying configuration. Baying hardware enables you to connect multiple racks into a single, cohesive enclosure, simplifying management and maximizing available floor space. This feature supports scalable deployments, from single cabinets to compact data center pods.
  • Airflow management and cable organization: The cabinet is designed to maintain efficient front-to-back airflow with vented panels, rear cable management arms, and organized cabling. Integrated cable tie points and channeling keep power, data, and fibre channels neatly organized; this reduces airflow resistance and improves serviceability during maintenance windows.
  • Ease of installation and maintenance: The G2 kit emphasizes straightforward assembly with pre-drilled rails, standardized 19-inch mounting, and tool-less features where applicable. The included side panels and baying hardware simplify expansion, while the powder-coated finish ensures long-term durability even in demanding data-center environments. The rack is designed to support hot-swap units and heavy loads while remaining accessible for technicians.

How to Install HPE 36U 600mmx1075mm G2 Kitted Advanced Shock Rack with Side Panels and Baying

Unpack and inspect: Verify the carton contents against the packing list. Check for any shipping damage and ensure all side panels, rails, and baying components are present before starting. Prepare a clean workspace with a clear floor area and, if required by facility policy, attach the rack to the floor or wall for added stability. This initial check helps prevent delays during installation and ensures you have all components on hand.

Prepare mounting rails: Extend and align the 19-inch mounting rails according to your equipment’s height and depth requirements. Use the included leveling shims or brackets to ensure precise alignment with the rack frame. Tighten fasteners firmly but avoid over-tightening to prevent rail distortion. Properly aligned rails are critical for safe, vibration-free operation and to prevent tool wear on sliding components over time.

Attach side panels and baying components: Install the side panels to reduce dust ingress and provide a professional enclosure aesthetic. If you plan to bay multiple racks, connect the baying hardware as directed to create a cohesive enclosure. Verify vertical alignment and interlock points so panels sit flush and doors align properly. A correctly assembled baying system enhances airflow, simplifies maintenance, and reduces dirt intrusion across the cabinet cluster.

Mount equipment: Begin with heavier devices toward the bottom to lower the center of gravity and reduce tipping risk. Secure each device with appropriate screws or rails, ensuring proper clearance for cables and airflow. Route power, data, and interconnect cables through rear cable management channels to minimize clutter and improve serviceability. Leave sufficient space behind equipment to prevent thermal bottlenecks and to allow for future expansion without complete reorganization.

Finalize wiring and thermal management: Attach cable ties or Velcro straps as needed, ensuring cables do not obstruct vent openings or airflow. Close doors and verify that the front-to-rear airflow is unobstructed. If the rack includes removable filters or fans, install them according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and test the cooling system under typical load conditions. Regularly inspect seals and gaskets to maintain dust control and temperature stability.

Test and document: After installation, power on the devices and verify that all equipment is recognized by the respective management controllers. Confirm cable management and airflow, check door locks if provided, and perform a short burn-in test to observe vibration and noise levels. Document the rack’s serial numbers, installed devices, and any baying configuration for future maintenance. Keeping thorough records simplifies future upgrades and service calls.

Vader's Second Marvel Series Is Good!
Format: Paperback
This is actually the start of a second Vader series. The first one began, along with the new Marvel main Star Wars series, right after the Death Star was destroyed. That Vader series birthed the new characters of Doctor Aphra, Triple Zero, BeeTee, and Cylo. Now, that series has come to an end. THIS NEW SERIES IS GOOD! It picks up the moment that Anakin Skywalker awakes in his armor at the end of Revenge of the Sith. It chronicles the first steps of Darth Vader. We learn something new about the Sith. They do not create their own lightsabers. They must take a saber from a Jedi and make it their own. The Sith blades are red and only red. Why? Palpatine explains that the kyber crystals that power the sabers are living things within the Force. This is backed up by the Rogue One novel (it was either that or Catalyst). The crystals are rock, but they are also alive. In the hands of a Sith, the new owner uses the Dark Side to push all his pain into the crystal--until the crystal bleeds and turns the color of the beam red. I just think that is all sorts of awesome!

Vader when he still is Anakin
Format: Paperback
This comic picks up right where Episode III left off. Like directly. There's the whole "Noooooooooo" thing and everything. I liked seeing Vader when he is new to being a Sith. It really is Anakin under there still. Throughout the comic, that Anakin begins to fall away. I liked the mix of prequel and original trilogy aesthetic. Seeing Vader alongside clone troopers was very cool. The Grand Inquisitor even makes a cameo! I read the Dark Horse comics that took place right after Order 66 so certain aspects of this comic remind me of those. In this comic, there are jedi who took the Barash Vow prior to the Purge, so they are still out and about in the galaxy. Vader takes this opportunity to take a lightsaber and make it bleed. I really enjoyed this first volume in a new, ongoing comic series. I am absolutely excited for volume two. I give this volume a 5/5.

A true Meghan Quinn masterpiece!! 😂✨
Format: Audiobook
🎧 Rules for the Summer by Meghan Quinn Narrated by Stella Hunter, Shane East, Cassandra Medcalf & Gary Furlong A true Meghan Quinn masterpiece!! 😂✨ I laughed my a** off from beginning to end, and the narration honestly could not have been more perfect. Every narrator absolutely nailed their character and brought all the chaotic, hilarious, emotional, and spicy moments to life so well that I never wanted this audiobook to end. And the accents?! Absolute chef’s kiss 🤌🔥 They made the listening experience even more fun and immersive. Theo and Henley were such a fun couple to follow. The banter, chemistry, tension, and absolute ridiculousness between them had me smiling nonstop. And Aunt Kitty and Rupert? ICONIC. Honestly, they stole so many scenes for me and added even more humor and heart to the story. This book had me laughing out loud one minute and fanning myself the next 🥵😂 The spice was definitely A LOT… but honestly, are we even surprised when it comes to a Meghan Quinn book? She always delivers the perfect mix of humor, romance, chaos, and steam. The audiobook production was phenomenal. Stella Hunter, Shane East, Cassandra Medcalf, and Gary Furlong made this story feel so immersive and entertaining. Their performances elevated an already fantastic story into one of those audiobooks you just never want to stop listening to. Absolutely loved this story and highly recommend the audiobook version! Happy Reading/Listening 🎧📚
