All’esame visivo si presenta con un colore rosso rubino, attraversato da lievi riflessi che tendono al violaceo nell’unghia. Al naso si avvertono sensazioni intense e ampie, dove piccoli frutti neri di bosco si alternano a nuances terziarie, derivanti dal periodo trascorso in affinamento. All’assaggio è di buon corpo, morbido e armonioso, con un sorso saporito.Il Syrah è senza alcun dubbio uno dei vini più interessante per la Tenuta Sallier de La Tour; si tratta infatti di un vitigno che, nel territorio circostante Camporeale, riesce a esprimersi con grande potenzialità. Riprova di ciò è dato da questo Sicilia DOC, rosso equilibrato, immediatamente comprensibile e aggraziato, sia al naso che in bocca. Le uve, una volta raccolte, fermentano in vasche d’acciaio per 20 giorni, a una temperatura controllata di 28 gradi, svolgendo anche la malolattica. L’affinamento si svolge per il 30% della massa in barrique di rovere francese, mentre la parte rimanente matura in acciaio; l’invecchiamento ha una durata di un anno, al termine del quale si procede con le operazioni d’imbottigliamento. Un’etichetta con cui Tasca d’Almerita conferma di saper declinare, come solo poche altre realtà sono in grado di fare, la bellezza e la diversità della Sicilia enologica.
Ottimo a tutto pasto, si trova però particolarmente bene in abbinamento con i secondi di carne e selvaggina. Da provare con lo spezzatino di pollo all’arrabbiata.

I like the mildly tart taste of this unflavored, unsweetened drink made up with water. The texture doesn't bother me, with stirring right from the beginning of adding the water, there is no clumping. After 10 days there is no effect on my bowels which were regular previously anyway. My doctor wanted me to use this although I already have a high fiber diet.

Definitely Not Unflavored. This is Tart / Sour, Which Limits the Options to Certain Juices

I was expecting an unflavored fiber powder. However, expect a sour/tart taste. This means you can't add it to tea or coffee. I don't think it is appropriate to say that it is "unflavored" as I've had psyllium husk from other vendors that are truly "unflavored" (i.e. no citric acid). Dextrin (another fiber source) is also unflavored. But this Metamucil is tart (like sucking a lime) and can only be added to tart juices like orange juice or lemonade.

Happy it is unflavored

I was worried about the taste based on some of the reviews. I tried it in my coffee, and I'm glad I did it that way. I keep coffee in the fridge, so that is what I mixed with one tablespoon of this. I use half and half and no sugar. I tasted it. It tastes like burnt coffee. Not a bad thing...thats just what the taste it added. I decided to see what would happen if I added a splash of a flavored creamer. The taste went away instantly. Hope this helps someone!

Fantastic product, dont like the texture - mix with food. Still 10/10 💩🎉
Flavor Name: Orange, Size: 15 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Taste:
While the product doesn’t taste bad, preparing it as directed results in a very mild orange flavor. -as a drink I would prefer more flavor.
Texture:
The psyllium husk absorbs water extremely quickly—even in cold or room-temp water—which is just the nature of the ingredient itself. Because it starts to gel so fast, you have to chug it, and even then it can be difficult to get down. (I personally gag at it, but I have sensory issues) If the gel like texture is an issue for you, I found it more palatable mixed into food with water on the side. Texture aside, the product itself is highly effective.
Mixability:
It doesn’t always mix smoothly and tends to clump. Again nature of the ingredient not the brand. The powder is very fine and non-gritty perfect for other mixings.
Side effects:
I had uncomfortable bloating the first time (2 scoops/ full glass), I recommend starting with (1 scoop or less/full glass) Dont rush it. Increase it from there as you grow tolerance. You may feel very full. - it helped me eat less!
