A classic Victorian signet ring, hallmarked to England in 1880. A timeless jewel of bold yet elegant design.

The ring is crafted in the traditional signet style, its strong sculptural shoulders sweeping upwards to create a sense of presence on the hand. This confident form was a hallmark of late Victorian taste, balancing refinement with substance.

At the centre sits a richly coloured oval bloodstone, its deep green surface flecked with natural red inclusions that have captivated wearers for centuries. Long associated with strength, protection, and courage, bloodstone was a particularly favoured material for signet rings, lending both symbolism and striking visual depth.

The contrast between the polished gold mount and the dark, mysterious stone creates a look that is both powerful and enduring. As relevant today as it was nearly 150 years ago.

WEIGHT: 3.6 grams approximately 

HALLMARKING: hallmarked 18 carat gold London as well as an additional date letter 'E' on the outside bottom of the ring

CONDITION: the ring is in lovely antique condition with a fine patina to the entire piece.There are a few dents on the inside and back of the band which made due to the hollow setting being more susceptible to wear.
