2007 Queen Elizabeth II Proof Sovereign by Ian Rank-Broadley - Boxed / COA

Queen Elizabeth II Proof Sovereigns (4th Portrait) 1998-2015
Specially struck versions of the classic gold sovereign, struck with polished dies to create a mirrored finish to the field and a frosted one to the detail.
The shallow relief seen on all 2007 Proof sovereigns is a result of the Royal Mint using laser cutting for the first time to produce dies for striking.

Obverse: Queen facing right wearing a tiara, initials IRB. denoting designer Ian Rank-Broadley raised below truncation.

Reverse: St.George mounted with sword attacking the dragon, streamer flowing from St George's helmet. The date appears below the exergue line at the bottom with the letters B.P. to the right.

All Queen Elizabeth II 4th Portrait sovereigns were struck at the Liantrisant mint in Wales, none were struck at overseas mints. Please note that you may not receive the certificate number shown unless stated.
