The only downside is the velcro closure is not that great compared to the rest of the shoe. The velcro becomes weak or not as sticky well before the shoe has run its course. They come in a variety of colors which is fun for the kids. One of my daughters has sensitive fee or just fine shoes generally uncomfortable and she never has a problem with these.
