Cranial Osteopathy is both a textbook for practical training as well as an in-depth reference book, providing the knowledge base for successful application of cranial osteopathy. Designed with the practitioner in mind, it provides a comprehensive compilation of recent studies and research in this field, with extensive resource materials and nearly 500 illustrations and photographs.

This book will deepen your practice of cranial osteopathy in the following ways:

  • Enable better assessment of responses to treatment
  • Enable a more integral palpatory approach to the patient, with a deepening of the different dimensions of touch and resonance
  • Enable better differentiation in the cranial examination of patients
  • Facilitate the process of conscious listening during palpation
  • Clarify the act of therapeutic synchronization with the homeodynamic forces in the tissues
  • Provide a better understanding of the stages of growth and modes of ossification of bones, which explain certain windows of time in treatment

"Torsten has honored me by asking me to write a foreword to his book. I am impressed with the range and extent of the subject matter, and his grasp of order in learning the science of osteopathy, and particularly the basic principles upon which it operates. He [Torsten] easily grasps that the human body is designed to work correctly, and that it is not the operator’s job to make it work right. The physician’s role is to encourage and assist the body to do what it knows how to do best, which is to work correctly, thereby regaining good health.

Torsten also understands the basic truth of palpation: ‘You do not feel with your fingers, you feel with your brain through your fingers, or whatever part of the body you are utilizing to contact the patient’s body.’ I feel certain that when this book is printed and available to the profession, it will become a basic text for all future students of the science of osteopathy."
—Alan R. Becker, D.O., F.A.A.O., F.C.A.

"Torsten's completion of the third, enlarged edition of his book on cranial osteopathy is to be welcomed. It is important to make the knowledge about the human head available to all osteopaths.

Because the endoskeletal articular system of the human body is fundamental for the activities of life as a whole, osteopathy has something useful to offer for every part. It is 60 years since W.G. Sutherland, D.O., D.Sc. (Hon.), began to teach osteopathy in the cranial field. His teachings are now being carried forward by the present book.

Dr. Sutherland taught that 'the aim of osteopathic treatment is to achieve an efficient exchange between all the fluids of the body across all boundaries. This view includes postural mechanics as well as the microscopic field.'"
—Anne L. Wales, D.O., Editor of W.G. Sutherland's Teachings in the Science of Osteopathy and Contributions of Thought:The Collected Writings of W.G. Sutherland

DO NOT BUY! IT BREAKS EASILY.
Size: Max Size
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! The first time I bought this product it broke within a couple of weeks. The conveyor belt stopped spinning making the unit unusable. The second one I bought broke within the first hour. Again the conveyor belt but this time it would spin uncontrollably even when the unit was turned off. We used the balls included in the packaging and with supervision which is recommended in the product pamphlet. I tried to reach out to All For Paws but was unable to locate a working customer service number. For the price it should continue to work without issue. Very disappointing.

Your dog Might Not Be as Excited as You Are
Size: Max Size
It arrived and worked as expected. Throws a good distance, not loud & easy to use. However, my rescue Belgian Shepherd (24/7 ball dog) was totally scared of it. Work with her for a week but she would literally avoid even being in the same room. Being she is rescue you never know what happen to them in the past. Moral of the story, just bc you have a full-on ball dog doesn’t mean they will be excited as you are. Unfortunately had to return.

Good but not great. We had to return. We liked it first out of box BUT as soon as the balls got damp from grass and slobber they were not launching well.

Inside winter fun ball launcher
Size: Max Size
Bought this for our three dogs to play with in the winter as Houston is typically cold and rainy and limits outside play, this will be our new winter indoor activity. We are still in the learning process of putting the ball back in the launcher, we have only played with it a handful of times at most and they retrieve the balls back to the launcher but haven’t consistently put it back IN the launcher when there is a human at the launcher to do it for them. As we play with it more I know they will catch the concept along with the balls. Love that the product has three launching distances, indoor I’m using the short distance. Having 6 balls is also great, right now they are launching and rolling under the Christmas tree and my newly tri-pod dog cannot go under to get them. The ball launcher is super easy to use, I didn’t even have to look at the instructions. The design is nice and it is built very well. This launcher was a bit pricier than others but it had the best reviews. I used Amazon coupons, rewards and a gift cards and got it for zero dollars. Overall, I’m very happy with this product and the dogs have allot of fun with it and get excited when I bring it out. I have not had any problems with this product, the only slight thing to mention is that once about every 10 or more balls the launcher throws the next ball up will just sit, a little nudge from me or a dog will get that ball launching again. I have nudgers so this isn’t going to be a thing. We love this product and give it 10 of 10 stars. Should something happen I would buy this launcher all over again. May even consider as a gift for a family member with 7 dogs.
