Suikerriet(pulp) is een natuurlijk afvalproduct en wordt daarom ook wel bagasse genoemd, afgeleid van het Spaanse woord voor afval. Producten van suikerriet, worden gemaakt van de pulp die overblijft nadat het sap van het riet gescheiden is. Met behulp van warmte en druk wordt de pulp samengeperst en gevormd tot de disposables die je bij ons in de virtuele schappen ziet.

Producten van bagasse zijn volledig gemaakt uit hernieuwbare grondstoffen en daarom ook volledig plasticvrij. Daarnaast zijn ze ook 100% biologisch afbreekbaar en composteerbaar volgens EN13432. Producten gemaakt van suikerriet zijn tevens voedselveilig en smaakneutraal.
