Deze Touratech Expedition carter beschermer, ook wel skidplate genoemd, is gemaakt voor de BMW R 1200 GS LC en Adventure. De skidplate komt onder het motorblok en beschermt tegen harden objecten, zand, modder, water en steenslag.

Door zijn unieke vormgeving is het mogelijk om over bomen of stenen heen de glijden, de skidplate is namelijk voorzien van twee kunststof stroken in het midden.
