This book makes a strong stand for the position that the Bible does not fit within the genre of myth. That is the positive aspects of this work. For example, the question of whether the theology of the Bible should receive special credence if the historical basis it rests on is found to be incorrect is asked, but the answer given is short and does not fully interact with the question which I found to be very disappointing.
