Het resultaat is een energiek, gedreven bandgeluid en het nieuwe album Zest is dat niet anders, maar wel een beetje anders. BRUUT! werkte namelijk 12 jaar lang steevast op dezelfde manier aan hun albums; alles werd ‘live’ geschreven in de repetitieruimte. Vanwege de pandemie werd dit onmogelijk en werd de band gedwongen om hun werkwijze aan te passen. Op afstand, met zoom calls en een arsenaal aan muzieksoftware werd aan de stukken gesleuteld, net zolang tot ze klaar waren om de studio in te gaan. Een nieuw begin als het ware. Daar past ook een nieuw label bij. Vanaf nu brengt Excelsior Recordings de muziek uit. Zo ook het album Zest. Een plaat vol grooves die keer op keer blijven boeien.

I tried to sew/glue down the stitching (as seen in photo) but it kept unraveling. Disappointing as these slippers are great in every other way (though they do run a bit big...I wear a 9 but ended up with a 7.5-8.5 which fits with a bit of room to spare even with thick socks). I just hope they hold up after my latest attempt to stop the thread from pulling out any more as I do really love wearing them. Perhaps I just got a bum pair?

Can't go wrong with Acorn for as long as they last!

Acorn is just a great company all around. I had bought my husband these slippers over 20 years ago. They are still in great shape although the sole has worn in some places.
