Het onderstel biedt de houtdraaibanken MIDI PRO en MIDI 2 Plus een optimale en stabiele basis.

Via twee openingen in de bovenste verbindingsplaat kunnen de vierkante buizen bovendien gevuld worden met kwartszand (niet inbegrepen) voor extra gewicht. Dit zorgt voor een aanvullende ballast van circa 13 kg.

Bij grotere, ongebalanceerde werkstukken verbetert de vulling met kwartszand de stabiliteit van de machine aanzienlijk en zorgt het voor een rustiger loop.

Voor het onderstel zijn optioneel vier stelvoeten verkrijgbaar, waarmee het onderstel kan worden verhoogd of waarmee oneffenheden in de vloer kunnen worden gecompenseerd.

De bij de draaibank meegeleverde rubberen pootjes kunnen eveneens in dit onderstel worden gedraaid, echter is de stelhoogte daarvan beperkt.
