Dit is de Kiwi plant met de volledige naam Actinidia deliciosa 'Hayward' Kiwi (vrouwelijk). De vrouwelijke kiwistruik voor het groeien van kiwi vruchten uit eigen tuin. De volwassen hoogte is ongeveer 6 meter. Dat betekent dat u deze kiwiklimplant goed kunt begeleiden langs uw pergola, gevel, muurtje of schutting. Deze Kiwi Actinidia deliciosa 'Hayward' Kiwi (vrouwelijk) geeft bij de aanwezigheid van een mannelijke kiwiplant vruchten, zorg dan wel voor een zonnige, beschutte plek in uw tuin. De Kiwi Actinidia deliciosa 'Hayward' Kiwi is winterhard tot ongeveer -20 graden Celsius en is niet wintergroen (bladverliezend). Het zijn snelgroeiende klimplanten. Verkrijgbaar in verschillende potmaten met verschillende hoogtes.

Bloeimaand, bloei, oogsttijd en bestuiven kiwi klimplanten

In het vroege voorjaar ontstaan de bladeren. Daarna komen de bloemknoppen, deze gaan langzaam open met roomwitte bloemen. De bloemen zijn ongeveer 5 cm groot. Zonder de aanwezigheid van een mannelijke kiwiklimplant zal deze kiwi geen vruchten geven. Zet de mannelijke & vrouwelijke kiwi klimplant ongeveer 6 meter uit elkaar. De bestuiving wordt gedaan door insecten. Kiwi's geven pas na een jaar of 2-3 vruchten. Hoe groter de potmaat, hoe ouder de plant en hoe eerder uw nieuwe kiwi klimplant vruchten zal geven.

Begeleiden en opbinden kiwi klimplanten

De Actinidia (kiwi) groeien door middel van ranken. De ranken slingeren om zich heen totdat ze een steunpunt hebben gevonden. Om de planten te begeleiden of sturen met klimmen gebruikt u spandraad of een trellis langs uw gevel, schutting of muurtje. Het opbinden van de ranken aan het spandraad, klimdraad of trellis doet u door middel van multibinders of touw. Deze producten vindt u op onze pagina Bindmateriaal en plantondersteuning. Het is vooral na het aanplanten dat u ze dient te begeleiden, later is dat niet meer nodig. Gebruik daarom de herbruikbare multibinders van Yarinde.

Wat is het verschil tussen een zelfbestuivende en niet-zelfbestuivende kiwi

De meeste kiwi Actinidia klimplanten zijn tweehuizig (ook wel eenslachtig genoemd). De bloemen van een mannelijke kiwi hebben enkel meeldraden. De vrouwelijke hebben stampers. Beide zijn nodig voor de vrouwelijke kiwi klimplant om vruchten te geven (dit heet kruisbestuiving). Er bestaan ook zelf-bestuivende klimplanten. Hiervoor zijn geen 2 klimplanten nodig, maar de vruchten opbrengst is wel minder en de kiwivruchten zijn erg klein.

Standplaats en aanplanten kiwistruik Actinidia deliciosa 'Atlas'

Plant deze kiwistruik Actinidia op een goed gedraineerde tuingrond. Gebruik daarom de juiste aanplantgrond om de waterhuisvesting in de grond te verbeteren. De kiwi planten staan graag op een plek in de volle zon, maar halfschaduw wordt ook verdragen. Kiwi planten geven de voorkeur aan een kalkrijke en vochtige tuingrond. In de droge zomermaanden dient u dus regelmatig water te geven. Jonge planten zijn gevoelig voor nachtvorst. Bedek in de winter daarom het hart van de plant met een laag mulch of compost.

Voor het aanplanten van een kiwi graaf u een gat dat 2 keer zo groot is als de kluit van de plant. Meng de opgegraven aarde met aanplantgrond. Plant de kluit, zonder container in het gat en vul aan met het aardemengsel. Stamp het geheel goed aan en geef de eerste tijd ruim water.

Alle kiwisoorten hebben een oppervlakkige worteling. Haal daarom regelmatig onkruid weg om concurrentie om voedsel en water te verminderen.

This mattress pad is much thicker and fluffier than the one I had before. With I took it out of the package, it was vacuum sealed with a note saying to leave it out in the sun for 48-72 hours or fluff it up with a hair dryer. I put it in the dryer on medium heat, which worked nicely. The pockets are really deep on this mattress pad and it fits snug. You don’t really see the shape with a sheet on top. It feels comfortable laying on top of it. It doesn’t flatten much when I’m laying down, but I imagine over time it will lose fluffiness. Overall it’s comfortable and breathable.

If your mattress is already soft, it will help. It's less than 1in thick after tumbling for 40 minutes. It did fit my queen bed and felt somewhat soft when laying down but it didn't help much as far as comfort. Must have for mattress comfort and protection

I ordered the BDEUS Twin mattress topper for a temporary mattress. The topper definitely improves comfort and regulates temperature much better than just the mattress and sheets. Adds comfort and support

I’ve been using this bamboo mattress topper for a couple of weeks now, and it completely changed the feel of my bed. My mattress was starting to feel too firm and uncomfortable, especially on my lower back and shoulders, but this topper added the perfect amount of cushioning without making the bed feel overly soft or saggy. The cooling effect was one of the biggest surprises. I tend to sleep hot and usually wake up sweating during the night, but the bamboo-derived fabric feels breathable and much cooler than regular mattress pads I’ve owned before. It stays comfortable throughout the night and doesn’t trap heat like memory foam toppers sometimes do. I also really appreciate the waterproof protection. It gives peace of mind without feeling stiff or making that annoying crinkling noise some waterproof covers have. The surface still feels soft, plush, and smooth. It honestly feels more like a hotel-style pillow top than a basic mattress pad. The thickness is just right for pressure relief. It helped reduce the soreness I usually wake up with in my back, and I’ve been sleeping much more comfortably overall. The deep pockets also held securely on my twin mattress and didn’t slide around, even after moving a lot during sleep. Another thing I liked was how fluffy and well-made it looked right out of the package. After letting it expand for a bit, it became nicely plush and evenly padded. The stitching seems durable, and it still looks great after washing.
