Zeoliet vindt zijn oorsprong in vulkanische uitbarstingen, waardoor miljoenen jaren geleden grote hoeveelheden as met aluminosilicaten van alkalimetalen en alkalische aarde in de at-mosfeer werden gespuwd die zich vervolgens in dikke lagen hebben afgezet.

 

De eigenschappen van zeolietlagen worden bepaald door hun oorsprong, temperatuur en geo-grafische ligging, aluminiumoxide en silicaten in de aslagen verbonden zich in een evenwichtige, open en driedimensionale honingraatstructuur.

 

Er bestaan in de natuur ruim 40 verschillende soorten zeoliet. Zeoliet is een kristallijn mineraal dat de verbazingwekkende eigenschap bezit om een grote verscheidenheid van oplossingen te kunnen absorberen. De kanalen in zeoliet zorgen voor een grote oppervlakte waarop chemische reactie kunnen plaats vinden. De gaatjes en kanalen in het kristal kunnen tot 50 % van zijn vol-ume uitmaken. Hierdoor hebben zeolieten het vermogen om kationen te wisselen. Het zorgt voor een blijvende structuur verbetering (valt niet uit elkaar) en herstelt de biologische bodem-balans door de verhoging van het zuurstofgehalte in de bodem. Het verhoogt de CEC waarde van de bodem en is pH neutraal (tussen 6,8 - 7,2) Zeoliet gruis kan water en voedingsstoffen absorberen en deze vertraagd aan plant of gewas af geven. Zeoliet gruis is goedgekeurd voor toe-passingen in de biologische land- en tuinbouw.

I like the way these fit and feel. I normally wear a size 10, and these are a 10. Very comfortable to walk in. I think they're stylish enough to wear with jeans or chinos. The leather is nice quality. However, the issue I am noticing, only a few days into wearing these (I've worn 3 times) is that the bottom material doesn't come forward far enough. The tip of the shoe juts out and as you walk the tip rolls forward on to the ground surface and is wearing away at the leather. I mean, I've only wore these 3 times and I am getting major concerns about their durability. I would choose another shoe if I could go back, as these are an indoor shoe only as they're currently designed.
