Alvaro Palacios werd geboren op Palacios Remondo, het familiebedrijf in Rioja Baja. Alvaro volgde oenologie en viticulture in Bordeaux. Via een stage op Chateau Petrus raakte hij geboeid door de bijzondere terroir en grootsheid van de wijn. Terug in Spanje werkt hij een tijdje als verkoper van Frans eiken vaten. In 1989 voegt hij zich bij pioniers die Priorat in glorie willen herstellen. Hij verwerft wijngaarden en start met het maken van Priorat wijnen. Zijn ster stijgt snel en zijn wijnen worden bejubeld. Een volgend project start hij met zijn neef Ricardo Perez in Bierzo. Oude Mencia stokken, steile hellingen en leistenen ondergrond brengen daar een fenomenaal succes dat het aanzien van Alvaro versterkt. Na de dood van zijn vader wordt Alvaro gevraagd ook Palacios Remondo te leiden. De wijngaarden liggen op 600 meter hoogte. Op het domein wordt naast de rode Rioja's ook een gastronomische witte Rioja gemaakt. Deze heeft Placet en komt uitgaard Valtomelleso, gelegen in het midden van La Montesa. Hij wordt van de Viura druif gemaakt en de gemiddelde leeftijd van de stokken is 20 jaar. De bodem bestaat uit kalksteen en klei. De opbrengst van de stokken wordt laag gehouden. De oogst is handmatig en de selectie streng. Gedeeltelijke ontsteling, inweking gedurende 8 uur en vervolgens vinificatie in ovale eiken foeders. De jonge wijn ontwikkeld zich nog 9 maanden op de droesem. De wijn is licht strogeel en heeft aroma's van peer, perzik, jasmijn en vanille. De smaak is rijk met tonen van mineralen en noten. De afdronk is lang.Met de witte Rioja Placet uit de Valtomelleso wijngaard kiest Palacios Remondo een eigen stijl. Een wijn met karakter, concentraat en complexiteit. Dit bereiken zij door overdadige hout invloed en rijping te vermijden. Het resultaat is deze levendige, gastronomische wijn van 100% Viura met lage opbrengsten per stok. De wijn is licht strogeel en heeft aroma's van peer, perzik, jasmijn en vanille. De smaak is rijk maar heeft ook frisheid en een spoor van mineralen en iets nootachtigs. De afdronk is lang.Levendige, gastronomische dinerwijn uit Rioja Baja.Bij schaaldieren, visgerechten met groene curry en Bouillabaise.De wijngaard Valtomelleso is 8 hectaren groot en ligt midden in La Montesa.Shipping Notes

Great for sensitive skin

I have extremely sensitive skin and recently found out my skin hates the sun due to my autoimmune issues. This sunscreen doesn't break my skin out, keeps me from getting sunburnt and doesn't have a bunch of fragrance. This travel size has been perfect for throwing in my bag for a day at the baseball park or beach. This is a non greasy and no whitecast spray that has a high spf too. I highly recommend it.

Apply BEFORE leaving the house!

I have fair (freckle don’t tan, burn easily then peel and back to white) and sensitive skin. So does my son. I live on the coast, in a southern state and vacation in the Caribbean often. After too many years of getting burned, I finally found Coola a couple years ago. It has revolutionized my time in the sun.
Here’s the thing tho. If you don’t apply it properly, it’s not gonna work. If you’re looking for something to put on AT the pool or beach, go for something else (with zinc oxide preferably). If you’re willing to take 5 mins before you go to do it, you’ll be very happy. Kids especially are hard enough to get covered before they see water anyway!
Here’s some tips:
Spray everyone OUTSIDE (even the unscented can overwhelm inside, and you really don’t need to be breathing in ANY sunscreen)
DO NOT USE ON FACE. It will burn your eyes when you sweat/swim. Choose a cream or face stick.
Spray until skin is wet. You’re not looking for a light misting, you’re going for full coverage. The can can sound like it’s spraying, but if you don’t see the product on the skin, you’re gonna get burned.
Give it 5 mins to dry before putting on shirts/cover ups.
Reapply between 2 & 3 hours of water exposure. (We usually dry off, respray, then have a snack or lunch) Give it 15 - 20 mins to soak in before you hit the water again.
I’ve found a 6oz can will usually take care of two adults and a child for the day (initial and resprays). It’s a tad expensive, so we use Coola on days we plan to be out for more than a couple hours, or every day in the Caribbean, since the sun is SO intense.
The 2oz is ‘touch up’ sized. It may take care of a child’s initial spray, but I’ve found it more suited for adding additional spray to areas that feel a bit crispy, rather than using it on a single application.

Toxic ingredients

There are endocrine disruptors in here that are harmful to your health. I nearly got to the point of being disabled from endocrine issues. Has ingredients that ruin fertility, raise risk of cancer, and ruin your endocrine system. I hope these brands can take these ingredients out and begin to care about consumers health.

Best Baby Sunscreen ☀️
Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 2), Style: SPF 50 Spray
Putting sunscreen on a one year old is never an easy task. So I learned very quickly that the spray was a must. I’ve tried several different kinds and have had issues with eye irritation because I’m sure as y’all all know (that I definitely did not know) the first thing they do when you put sunscreen on their face is rub it immediately in their eyes. Although this one is not completely irritation free, I have noticed much less irritation to her eyes (or maybe she’s finally learning not to rub her eyes after I put it on idk 🤷🏼♀️). Regardless this is a great safe, easy to apply sunscreen for babies!
